Job Description:

Function:
Perform process accounting functions such as A/P payments and processing, expense reconciliations, filing, and support for other account roles with a high degree of accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Codes, enters and processes general A/P
  • Matches A/P invoices against purchase orders 
  • Performs A/P check runs, PWP (pay when paid) and sub consultant check runs
  • Resolves A/P issues, communicates, and reconciles vendor statements
  • Processes bank loans & amortization schedules for vehicles loans
  • Reviews and processes employee expense reimbursements
  • Administers VISA credit cards for all employees
  • Reconciles VISA expenses, scans all statements, verifies backup, and reviews charges for accurate project and GL coding
  • Reconciles benefits by department and sets up timely payment
  • Reconciles and processes Union benefits
  • Maintains purchase orders module and closes out PO’s when appropriate
  • Assists with bank deposits 
  • Processes year-end 1099s and obtains vendor W-9 forms 
  • Assists employees with minor Vision technical issues
  • Assists in year-end processing as needed
  • Assists with Overhead audit process
  • Performs various accounting functions and back-up to Controller and Senior Business Analyst

  • Other accounting duties as needed

MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree desired)
  • Valid California driver’s license and an insurable driving record

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5 years of accounting experience with increasing levels of knowledge and responsibility
  • 2 years of experience within the AEC industry in a financial/accounting role desired

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong technical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision or similar accounting software is desired
